Concept

This series It nourishes a life of walking, from my childhood in the environment jungleor Horco Molle, my outings to paint landscapes“in the open air”during the time of the workshop of the master Luis Lobo de la Vega and my sports walks along trails. All of this allowed me to establish a deep connection with the landscape that constitutes my everyday environment and is part of my affective memory.

The landscape me inhabits.

The phrase “I walk, therefore I am” (“I walk, therefore I am”) quoted by De Vries essentially reflects what fuels my work.

While walkingor along the trails dodging roots, my gaze rises towards the treetops, patches of green, of sky and of light, trunks and branches like arteries forming a network, a living tissue that me contains, me hug and me It shelters. In the midst of that apparent chaos, without plans and with overlapping shapes and colors, look for order, meaning and harmony.

The LANDSCAPES series It is made up of a multitude of images from the crowded landscapes of the Yungas jungle to the stark and synthetic landscapes of hills and grasslands.
